In the hot summer days of June, our team gathered in Nashville to connect and see how we worked together. We filmed dialogues for each lead character and conducted interviews with them.
We wish we could share the entire experience with you. What began as a single day turned into three, uniting a diverse group of people—each with different politics, genders, beliefs, and races—who collaborated exceptionally well. Here is a glimpse of our first filming experience together. It will give you a clear sense of what is to come in the film.
Meet Brad Napp as the Cowboy
Imagine the 1960s in rural America: a young man growing up with the values of hard work, honor, community, country, family, and, above all, faith in God. Steve, a white boy with a love for nature and animals, works on farms and with machinery, eventually taking on a blue-collar job. By the early eighties, his dedication earns him respect and rewards, allowing him to maintain a good lifestyle. However, from the nineties onward, his situation deteriorates.
Steve’s understanding of democracy is that it should ensure a good life for all, especially those who work hard. Though he’s angry, he’s never violent; while he can be rude, he is never harmful. If you treat him well, he’ll be loyal to you forever. This is Steve, the Cowboy.
